'Grown Ups' Star Rob Schneider's Mother Pilar Passes Away Aged 91

Actor and comedian Rob Schneider took to his Instagram page to announce the death of his mother, Pilar Schneider, who passed on at the age of 91, surrounded by her family.

Rob Schneider took to his Instagram page to mourn his mother, Pilar Schneider, who passed away on Sunday night at 91. He paid tribute to his mom in a lengthy Instagram post where he revealed some details about her life and confessed his undying love for her.

Schneider and his mother featured side by side in some of his movies like "Hot Chic," "The Animal," "Big Stan," and "Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo."

In his post, Schneider narrated that his mother passed away peacefully after a perfect final family dinner where her loved ones surrounded her. He revealed that his mom Pilar was a world war two survivor who only met her father for the first time as a grown woman after he abandoned his family.

The actor revealed that his mom could afford education after the war because she and her sister found some money hidden by the Japanese in a cave.

Rumors have it that his affair with Patricia might have aided the demise of his second marriage.

The 57-year-old actor revealed that his mom went on to do well for herself after the war by bagging a master's degree and securing herself a job as a teacher for more than three decades.

Even at the end of her career, Pilar continued to play a fundamental role in helping her community ensure that schools within her area had music classes. Schneider said that his mom had always longed to join his father, Marvin Schneider, whom she married for almost four decades.

The actor ended his post by saying he was proud to be Pilar's son. Pilar is reportedly the mother of producer John Schneider and realtor April Schneider Farley. Talented singer Elle King is said to be one of her grandchildren.

Schneider has always been proud of his roots and wastes no time to flaunt his family members. The actor has often spoken of the role his upbringing had on his success.
