People: Ben Affleck & Ana de Armas Split after 1-Year Long Relationship

Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas have allegedly ended their one-year relationship, according to a source. The pair started dating early last year after they were romantically linked while on vacation.

Ana de Armas, 32, and her boyfriend Ben Affleck, 48, only managed to date for one year before their alleged separation this year. Since early March 2020, the pair were linked as a couple.

At the time, they were seen together on a trip to De Armas’ native country Cuba. The duo then took off to Costa Rica to continue their romantic vacation before going back to Los Angeles.

Affleck and De Armas were believed to have initially met in the fall of 2019 while shooting the upcoming thriller “Deep Water” in New Orleans. Both stars are set to feature in the new movie.

According to a “People” magazine source, the actor is no longer seeing the actress. De Armas was allegedly the one who ended things due to one main problem between the two, which was explained as such:

“Their relationship was complicated.”

The informant claimed De Armas wasn’t keen on being based in Los Angeles, whereas Affleck is bound to the area because his children live there. With his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, the actor has three children.

Their children are daughters Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11, and a son Samuel, 8. According to another source, Affleck and De Armas’ breakup was said to have been amicable and mutual for the former couple.

The insider also claimed that the couple just found themselves at different points in their lives this year. However, they still shared respect for each other and deep love.

"The Way Back” star was said to be continuing to want to work on himself. He’s got three work projects in the pipeline, and he’s a reliable father at home for his three children too.

Affleck and his ex-girlfriend are said to be quite happy and content with their individual lives. Before the couple went their separate ways, De Armas had spent some time with her boyfriend and his children.

During the summer, the couple was seen together in Los Angeles amid the quarantine period against the novel Coronavirus disease. The actress confirmed their relationship in April 2020 on Instagram.

At the time, “The Knives Out” star shared photos of her and Affleck spending time together for her 32nd birthday. De Armas’ new sleek bob haircut was debuted in a YouTube video days before the breakup became public news.

On Sunday, the actress appeared in a clip where she praised her close friend Claudia Muma in her native tongue. Fans previously got a glimpse of the new look on her Instagram story on New Year's Day.
