Many may know John Amos for being an accomplished actor, but his son, KC Amos, knows him as a real-life superhero and father. KC grew up close to his dad and looked up to his job in the industry. According to the proud son:

“He’s a people person who usually finds himself walking into a special moment [...] His advice in my life has helped me discover who I am and my passion for directing.”

TIKTOK WITH JOHN AND KC

KC recently shared a video of the actor being both the director and cameraman for his son’s TikTok video. According to the producer, it was his dad’s first time in charge of the camera for the popular app.

John looked cool in a black leather jacket and a gray cap while flaunting his full gray beard and holding the camera. “Action,” he said on the short clip, before his son slowly walked forward with a rifle resting on his shoulder.

KC, dressed in a pair of yellow fringed pants, a colorful button-down, a cowboy hat, and small brown rectangular sunglasses, looked cool yet hilarious lip singing to Tupac's track.

LIFE AS AN ACTOR

Although KC did not pursue acting, he is well-aware of his father’s talent in the industry, starring in “Coming to America,” “Roots,” and “Good Times.”

Last year, it was announced that John would be starring in the sequel of “Coming to America.”

Sadly, John’s character, James Evans, was written off “Good Times” after he aired his grievances to the show’s writers in a less professional manner. Nevertheless, he is a remembered cast member.

John’s other on-stage plays include “The Boys Next Door,” “The Emperor Jones,” and “Master Harold and The Boys.” He also directed “The Twelve Angry Men” and “Miss Reardon Drinks a Little.”
