Dolly Parton, 75 in 2020, is a multi-talented artist who not only sings but acts, writes songs, is an entertainer, a director, and a businesswoman. Her acting has earned the star several awards throughout the years.

As if that wasn't enough, the country musician also acts as a philanthropist too! In 2020, during the novel coronavirus pandemic, Parton used her wealth to donate a whopping $1 million for COVID-19 research.

Her contribution was partly allocated to fund the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. At the end of 2020, the vaccine research became successful, and it was revealed that the Moderna product was 95% effective against the virus.

During the same year, the singer also worked with a grassroots project created as a fundraiser for COVID-19 relief efforts. The fundraiser, which included other musicians, was under the Music Health Alliance.
