Melanie Griffith Gushes Over Mom Tippi Hedren's Ageless Beauty as She Marks Her 91st Birthday

Melanie Griffith celebrated her mother Tippi Hedren’s 91st birthday with a series of throwback photos. The “Working Girl” star gushed over her mother’s ageless beauty with an old image from her younger days.

Veteran actress Tippi Hedren turned 91 on Tuesday, January 19, and her wonderful and famous family took to social media to celebrate the legend that she is. Hedren’s daughter Melanie Griffith went first with a heartwarming tribute.

Griffith uploaded a four-slide post on Instagram with a precious throwback image of her aged mother at the top of the stack. In the vintage black-and-white photo, Hedren looked stunning in a collared-gown as she held a lobster.

The “Pacific Heights” actress carried a fur coat in her hand and adorned her hair with a wool crochet cap. The next picture was a recent one of the doting mother-daughter duo in a warm embrace. The sweet post was captioned:

“Happy Birthday, Mom!! You are as beautiful today, at 91 years old, as you were at 22 in this first photo. I love you so much.”

Other images in the snapshot include a throwback headshot of Hedren with her finger seductively resting on her lips, while the other was a cute image of Griffith resting sweetly on her aged mother.

“The Fifty Shades of Grey” star opened up about what it was like growing up with Hedren, a strong animal activist.

Hedren’s granddaughter, actress Dakota Johnson sent a shoutout to her doting grandmother with a series of pictures that emphasized the veteran’s enchanting beauty. She revealed the unique nickname for her grandmother, calling her “Mor Mor.”

In July, Griffith threw it back in style with a series of photos, proving that impressive beauty does indeed run among the three generations of ladies. The “Lolita” star first shared an image of her and Hedren by the pool.

A younger Hedren flaunted her lithe waist in a fashionable halter-neck white bikini piece while little Griffith wore a patterned swimsuit of the same design. The next post was an image of the 63-year-old and Johnson from 1998.

The mother-daughter duo twinned in matching black velvet materials as they posed for the camera. Griffith was seen affectionately hugging her baby girl from behind with their blonde hair and blue eyes making them look like sisters.

During an appearance on “The Graham Norton Show” in May, “The Fifty Shades of Grey” star opened up about what it was like growing up with Hedren, a strong animal activist. She revealed that her grandmother has 13 or 14 lions and tigers.

The 30-year-old recalled that her grandmother used to have about 60 cats when she was young, but it has now reduced to a couple of animals. For Hedren’s 87th birthday in 2017, her awesome daughter and granddaughter brought similar joyful energy.

The entire family, including Griffith’s other children Stella Banderas and Alexander Bauer, reunited to celebrate the matriarch. They enjoyed a lovely family dinner and surprised the celebrant with a beautiful cake.
