The television personality noted that the ceremony was held at Oprah Winfrey's house and had only six people in attendance. This is in adherence to the social distancing guidelines put in place across America.

Despite being present at the event, King revealed she was unable to hug her daughter due to strict COVID-19 rules at the ceremony. Other attendees include King's son William Bumpus Jr. who officiated, Winfrey, and her partner Stedman Graham.

News of Kirby's wedding comes nearly two years after the couple got engaged in February 2019.

Writing further in the caption, King explained that even though the wedding was not what they initially envisioned, the ceremony was nothing short of perfection.

The exciting news was met with love from King's followers, including several A-list Hollywood stars who took to the comments section to leave congratulatory notes.

News of Kirby's wedding comes nearly two years after the couple got engaged in February 2019. The doting mother that she is, King could barely contain her excitement at the time.

King shares Kirby and William Jr. with ex-husband William Bumpus whom she was married to until their divorce in 1993. Despite their failed marriage, the pair maintain an amicable co-parenting relationship.

It is indeed every woman's dream to see her daughter walk down the aisle, and for King, where better for that to happen than at her best friend's house.
