The Weeknd has had a few romantic relationships over his career, but he is not a player. Keep reading to see a timeline of his relationships.
The musicians have only been linked to 3 women, all of them successful, ambitious, and absolutely gorgeous. It was first reported he was in a relationship in 2015.
The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye and model, Bella Hadid, met at Coachella in 2015. It was reported that they had been super flirty toward each other, as a source reported:
"They were hanging out in Coachella and were flirting lots. They have many things in common and really enjoyed each other's company."
In the same year, it was confirmed that they were dating. They were pictured together at New York Fashion week in 2015 and the 2016 Grammys. In November 2016, it was reported that they split up.
Selena Gomez and Abel started dating in 2017. They were seen together at many events and became Instagram-official. Unfortunately, they called it quits after ten months, a source revealed:
"He’s building a legacy. He’s young and successful with money and can have any girl he wants. Their relationship kind of came out of nowhere.”
The couple had many PDA-filled photos taken on red carpets and dates. It was rumored The Weeknd wrote a few songs about Gomez, including "Save Your Tears" and "Party Monster."
After breaking things off with Gomez, Abel was romantically linked to the model, Yovanna Ventura. The two were spotted holding hands.
It was reported that he had invited her over to hang out and catch up, and it quickly became something a bit more than friendship.
The two did not date long, and not much was reported about their relationship. However, it was long before the "Blinding Lights" singer was rekindling with an old flame.
BACK TO BELLA
After playing the field for a bit, Abel was back in the arms of Bella. It was reported that he had invited her over to hang out and catch up, and it quickly became something a bit more than friendship.
The couple was spotted together between 2017 to 2019, going on different jet-setting dates such as the Cannes Film Festival in 2018 and Coachella in 2018.
In August 2019, it was reported that the couple had split because of work schedules. Although they seemed to reconcile on her 23rd birthday, they stayed broken up going into 2020.
