Katy Perry Looks Back at Funny Experience after Giving Birth the Same Time as Her Album Release

Recently, pop star Katy Perry, who is engaged to actor Orlando Bloom, recalled a hilarious moment when she gave birth during the same period as her album was released.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom welcomed Daisy Dove Bloom in August. In an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Perry explained that her album "Smile" came out shortly after Daisy's birth.

As a result, the singer, who has nine Billboard Hot 100 number one singles and has won numerous awards, stated that things were slightly different on her other records.

Perry explained that, typically, an album would be launched by some party or dinner. However, this time, she continued, Daisy was born, and her album was released the following day.

"I was in the hospital, and I could not wipe my own butt. I was like, 'This is the most unusual album release day for me,'" said Perry, who pursued a career in gospel music as a teenager.

During the interview, the "Dark Horse" singer also talked about bringing Bloom's baby girl to the world and how she's balancing motherhood. She praised it as the best decision of her entire life.

Throughout the months of pregnancy and parenthood, Perry has been incredibly open about the changes to her body. In late August, she posted a selfie showing her in bra and underwear.

Perry celebrated Bloom's 44th birthday last month and posted several photos of them together.

The singer followed that up with another picture of herself in a cow-print outfit in October. Her caption announced that she was returning to work at the hit talent show, "American Idol."

Perry also spoke recently about her life as a new mother on "Live with Kelly and Ryan." She explained her routine after welcoming her daughter, in addition to her resuming her work.

Perry celebrated Bloom's 44th birthday last month and posted several photos of them together. She called the "Kingdom of Heaven" actor a "brilliant" father and her "love."

Perry thanked Bloom for never giving in and having the fortitude to fight with her. Further, the singer expressed her happiness at finally finding her "sun" and that she was in love with him.

Perry posted photos from their travels, along with pictures from when she was pregnant with Daisy. She also posted portraits of Bloom on his own and candid images of the two brushing their teeth.

While fans await their wedding day, the couple is currently enjoying being a family of three. Bloom and Perry originally planned to tie the knot in Japan at the end of 2019.
