DWTS Pro Witney Carson Recalls Traumatic Childbirth One Month after Welcoming Her Son Leo
Witney Carson talked about a traumatic birth experience in a recent interview. According to the professional dancer, her son was stuck under her pelvis at the time.
During an interview with US Weekly, Witney Carson discussed the C-section she underwent one month after welcoming her eldest son, Leo, with her husband, Carson McAllister.
According to Carson, she pushed for two and a half hours, but the baby did not want to come out. At the time, the "Dancing With the Stars" pro said she was fully dilated.

Carson went on to say that the baby had been stuck into her pelvis for so long. An emergency C-section had to be performed when the baby's heart rate spiked. Carson said:
"Obviously, we did whatever was right for the baby."
During this experience, Carson said she felt traumatized because her child wouldn't come out. She told the publication that she did not expect the subsequent C-section.
"I had in my head that I was not going to do that at all," the Utah native explained. "We're just really happy that he's healthy. That's the most important thing."
Although the challenges are daunting, Carson and McAllister couldn't be happier to be parents.
Almost two weeks after giving birth to Leo, Carson openly discussed her post-baby body. On social media, the dancer said that healing from birth is a serious matter.
Carson shared a photo in which she held the newborn and said she is proud of her body and what it has been through to bring Leo into the world. She also said they are deeply in love with their son.
Before giving birth to Leo, Carson documented her last bump selfie and marveled at being 39 weeks pregnant. She said previously that she would consider getting induced at 39 weeks.
The doctor told her there had been numerous studies about how induced labor results in fewer C-sections than those who wait until full-term. Based on that, Carson said, she made her decision.
In August of 2020, Carson announced she was expecting her first child with a social media post showing off her pregnancy test. She said that they couldn't wait to begin this beautiful new chapter.
Although the challenges are daunting, Carson and McAllister couldn't be happier to be parents. Meanwhile, Leo's full name is Kevin Leo McAllister, and he is named after Carson's late father-in-law.
