Meghan Markle has been receiving heat on social media for allegedly stealing Princess Eugenie's thunder when she announced news of her pregnancy barely a week after the Princess welcomed her baby.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are one of the most cherished couples in the world, but that does not exempt them from getting chewed out from time to time.

The couple came under fire on social media after they announced Meghan's pregnancy news just five days after Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed their son.

The baby, who is Eugenie's first child and the monarch's 9th great-grandchild, was delivered in the morning at The Portland Hospital in London — Eugenie's birthplace.

Two days after Eugenie was discharged from the hospital, Markle and Prince Harry revealed that their first child Archie will become a big brother, and he'll be getting a sibling.

Fans were quick to point out the closeness and recalled a similar thing that happened when Markle and Prince Harry announced that they were expecting their first child to family members during Princess Eugenie's wedding.

Many royal fans are convinced both occasions were deliberate attempts to upstage Eugenie.

The revelation came several days before the official announcement. Markle was only 12 weeks pregnant at the time, but they chose to make the announcement because they wanted the older royals to be there for it before they dispersed once again.

Eugenie did not appreciate this, and according to some sources, she told a friend that she felt the former "Suits" star and Prince Harry could have chosen to make the announcement later.

Now that Markle and Harry have done it again, many royal fans are convinced both occasions were deliberate attempts to upstage Eugenie. One fan seemed baffled as she asked if the duchess disliked Eugenie for some reason.

However, despite what looks like glaring evidence, some fans rose to Markle's defense. They thought nothing of the closeness and refused to believe it was a deliberate attempt to outshine Eugenie.

Some believe that she did not need to hold back her joyful news to avoid disrespecting Eugenie. The new mother has not responded to any of the speculations — not that she needs to; her fans are saying plenty on her behalf.
