Jeannie Mai's Fiancé Jeezy Pens a Heartbreaking Post as He Announces the Passing of His Mother
Rapper Jeezy, Jeannie Mai's fiancé, recently lost his mother, the woman he looked up to the most. In a heartbreaking message, he described his mother as his "superhero."
Losing a family member is a painful phase in life, and this kind of tragedy recently happened to rapper and songwriter Jeezy, who recently lost his beloved mother.
While he didn't reveal his mother's name and the reason behind her death, the 43-year-old rapper and "The Real" co-host Jeannie Mai's fiancé took to Instagram to express his sadness.
AN INSPIRING WOMAN
In his lengthy message, Jeezy, whose real name is Jay Wayne Jenkins, spoke highly about the good things his mother taught him while growing up. He described his mother as a fearless woman.
Although she was hard on him, Jeezy noted that she was an inspiring woman who kept reminding him that he is bigger than his problems. She was his "superhero." He wrote:
"When I had nothing or no one, I had you, Mamma."
MAI'S RESPONSE
Jeezy shared a snap of himself in a funeral, paying his last respects to his mother. As he mourned, Mai penned a message addressed to the rapper's mother.
The 42-year-old TV host noted that Jeezy's mother was an "unbelievably strong queen." Mai was thankful she got to meet and experience wonderful memories with her.
Without the rapper's mother, Mai wouldn't meet Jeezy, her future husband. The passing of Jeezy's mother came in the midst of their wedding plans.
THE COUPLE'S WEDDING PLANS
Earlier, Mai shared that she won't have a typical wedding as she wanted to walk down the aisle twice - in a traditional Vietnamese wedding and their preferred wedding style.
Before the acclaimed rapper, Mai was married to actor-producer Freddy Harteis for eleven years.

The "Dancing With The Stars" alum shared that her mother, Olivia TuTram Mai, wanted her to have a wedding according to their culture, including the wearing of Vietnamese garb and its tea ceremony.
Mai revealed she's considering skipping the white gown trend for her wedding dress and wanted to wear a dress in a different color. She also wanted her wedding to be held in winter.
Jeezy, who earlier surprised Mai with a performance from R&B singer Tevin Campbell as a birthday gift, proposed to Mai in March 2020, after dating in 2019.
Before the acclaimed rapper, Mai was married to actor-producer Freddy Harteis for eleven years. The former couple finalized their divorce in 2018.
