NBC Anchor Lester Holt Shares a Sweet Video of His Grandson Samuel Recognizing Him on Television

TV anchor Lester Holt showed off the heartwarming moment his little grandson recognized him on TV and could not help showing off his adorable "grandude."

NBC star Lester Holt gave fans the goosebumps after sharing a lovely video of his 21-month-old grandson, Samuel, gushing after he saw a video of his grandpa.

The little boy was filmed nestled in an adult's hands, and the duo was indoors watching the news on the phone. As soon as Lester's image popped up on NBC, the little boy stared for a while.

The toddler soon recognized who was speaking, going on to call his grandpa several times by his nickname, "grandude." Holt sweetly wrote in his caption:

"When a so-so day becomes the best day ever. My 21 months old grandson spotting me on TV tonight and finally able to clearly say "Gradnude!."

Little Samuel is one of two children born to Lester's son and fellow NBC personality, Stefan; his other child is Henry. Since becoming a grandpa, the patriarch has shown how smitten he is by his grandchildren and flaunts them on social media.

Last year, during his birthday, the "NBC Nightly News" anchor chronicled how his older grandson, Henry joined him in celebrating while ensuring the COVID-19 precaution was in place.

His younger brother is Cameron, who works as an Equity Options Trader for Morgan Stanley.

After becoming a grandpa, Lester has been showing off his tots on social media. Holt once shared a post of his grandkids visiting him on Instagram; he stated that being with them was the best thing ever.

Although the 61-year-old granddad has a unique bond with his grandchildren, he missed Samuel's delivery day. The star had been on an assignment when his son's wife, Morgan, went into labor.

Holt and his grandkids are an adorable trio, and their sweet relationship usually plays out on social media, whether they were posing for the camera or enjoying playtime.

Just like Stefan is now experiencing fatherhood and being a dad to little boys, his star dad, Holt, had his fair share of raising little boys when his wife, Carol, gave birth to their sons in the 80s.

Stefan is the first and has chosen to go in his dad's footsteps as a news anchor. His younger brother is Cameron, who works as an Equity Options Trader for Morgan Stanley.
