'Harry Potter' Star Tom Felton Recalls Being Terrified Working with Late Co-star Alan Rickman

Actor Tom Felton shared why he found working with his former co-star Alan Rickman terrifying. Felton went down memory lane, remembering the late actor.

“Harry Potter” star Tom Felton posted a TikTok video talking about his former castmate Alan Rickman. Felton described the type of person Rickman was, especially on set.

He also took time to answer fan questions, including one viewer who asked him about his working relationship with Rickman. The English native held the live video in the comfort of his home, sitting on a couch.

FELTON’S WORKING EXPERIENCE WITH RICKMAN

When asked about Rickman, he said that working with him was scary. He chuckled and went on to explain, “He was the only actor I knew who was terrifying in the most pleasant way,” he said.

Felton added that he was very kind and had a wicked sense of humor. “I just met him when I was twelve, so it took me a few years to have enough courage to say more than 'Hi,'” he shared.

He added that he was always cued up for his lunch with his tray. When he recalled back to those times, he giggled as he shared the good times with Rickman.

Known for his role as Draco Malfoy in the movie, Felton shared that it was a privilege to work with Rickman. "A privilege, a real privilege," he added.

THE TIKTOK SPECIAL WATCH

Felton hosted a special watch party on Peacock’s TikTok account. He rewatched “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” with fans across the US on March 2.

Rickman, who played Severus Snape in the film franchise, died in 2016 from cancer at 69. Rickman was reportedly known for various roles such as "Die Hard" and "Sense & Sensibility and Love."

KATE WINSLET REMEMBERING RICKMAN

Rickman’s other co-star Kate Winslet also revealed that he spent his "Harry Potter" fortune paying for friends’ meals without their knowledge.

According to the Daily Mail, the story resurfaced when the fans marked his death's fifth anniversary. Winslet paid homage to Rickman in a piece she wrote for Entertainment Weekly in 2017.

The actress shared that she learned of his generosity after learning that he would secretly pay for his friends' dinners by slipping the waiters his credit card.

FELTON AND OTHER CO-STARS

On the other hand, in October 2020, Felton teased that he planned to get the cast reunion setup. The 33-year-old actor also revealed that he keeps in touch with the other co-stars of the movie franchise.

At the time, he shared that he saw the Weasley twins, and they went out to play golf. On November 14, it was the 19th anniversary of the film, and Felton shared ahead of the date that he was planning a digital celebration.

FELTON & EMMA WATSON DATING?

According to the Sun, romance speculations circulated between Felton and his castmate Emma Watson who plays Hermione in the film. The two sparked dating rumors after sharing a photo in their pajamas on holiday in South Africa in 2019.

Watson gave people the idea that she may be dating Felton when she revealed that she used to have a crush on him back in 2011. The actress added that he was aware of it and laughed about it together are good friends.
