Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Reveal Gender of 2nd Baby & Admit They Have No Plans for More Kids
This year, Duchess Meghan and her husband thrilled royal fans when they announced they were expecting their second child. Now, the pair has revealed the child’s gender.
On February 14, 2021, Prince Harry, 36, and his wife Duchess Meghan, 39, revealed that they were pregnant with their second child. The couple is already parents to a son, Archie, 1.
The exciting news was announced through a black-and-white photo taken remotely via iPad by their friend and photographer, Misan Harriman. In the image, the couple appeared happy and barefoot.

Markle cradled her baby bump while resting on her husband’s lap in a garden. He balanced her head on his thigh with one hand, looked lovingly into her face, and flashed the biggest smile.
She wore a flowing dress by Carolina Herrera that was first made when she was pregnant with Archie. Harry also kept things casual in a light shirt and a pair of dark pants.
During the first week of March 2021, Oprah Winfrey's “Oprah With Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special” shared sneak peeks. The CBS interview featured Meghan and Harry in a two-hour-long special.
It officially aired on Sunday and saw the Duke and Duchess of Sussex opening up about various topics. They spoke about their growing family, their relationship with the Queen, and Archie not having a prince title.
During the interview, the couple revealed whether Archie was getting a baby brother or sister. They shared that they were expecting a baby girl with the Duke of Sussex adding:
"To have any child would've been amazing. But to have a boy and a girl, what more could you ask for?"
Harry and Meghan also confirmed that they wouldn’t be having any more children after their baby girl arrives as they were done. The Duke of Sussex said they were happy with being a family of four, plus their two dogs.
The ring was made by Canadian jewelry brand Ecksand.
Their 2nd child was due this summer. After announcing their pregnancy, the couple marked their first public appearance since their baby news by featuring in a pre-recorded video for Spotify's Stream On event.
Markle wore a pink sapphire cocktail ring on her right hand that had people speculating that it was a hint that she was expecting a baby girl. The ring was made by Canadian jewelry brand Ecksand.
