“Miami Vice” star Don Johnson has sported many looks during his five-decade acting career, and his longtime wife recently reminded fans of one of his movie looks via social media.
52-year-old kindergarten teacher Kelley Phleger has been married to 71-year-old actor, singer, and director Don Johnson for the last two decades. The happy couple shares three children.
Phleger has never been shy of sharing candid images of her famous husband on social media, and she recently took to her Instagram feed to make a little fun of Don’s hairstyle in a throwback photo.
On March 07, 2021, Phleger posted a picture of the “Miami Vice” star and herself during what seemed to be a day out at the beach or the pool. Phleger wore a blue bathing suit, a large hat, and shades, and Don wore a pink shirt. She captioned the image:
“When my husband had a bob.”
Phleger added the hashtag “#django” to her post’s caption, presumably a reference to the 2012 Quentin Tarantino film “Django Unchained,” in which Don can be seen wearing the same haircut as he portrays slave owner Big Daddy.
Phleger’s Instagram friends and followers were happy to see the couple looking so good together while enjoying a nice time, and several of them took to the comments section to leave messages for them.
“He looks good in every way,” a person wrote about Don. “Don looks great, as usual, but love the way the sun coming through your hat makes a pattern on your face and neck. Beautiful,” added somebody else.
Don and Phleger celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary in 2019, and having passed the age of 70, there is nothing that the actor cherishes more than the time spent with his family, even though his career is as busy as ever.
The husband and wife share 21-year-old daughter Grace, 18-year-old son Jasper, and 14-year-old son Deacon, and Don credits marrying Phleger with finally helping him become sober.
With his change of life, Don has also turned to his older children Dakota and Jesse Johnson, born to ex-wife Melanie Griffith and ex-girlfriend Patti D'Arbanville. As he tries to make up with them for time lost, he is said to enjoy spending time together with all his children.
FOLLOWING HIS STEPS
So far, it has only been Don’s older children who have followed their father’s footsteps to become professional actors, and both have dozens of acting credits behind them.
Jesse, 38, debuted on the TV series “Nash Bridges” in 2001 and has had significant appearances in movies like “Redline” and “Killing Lincoln.” Meanwhile, Dakota, 31, famously starred in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” film trilogy.
