Though Margera did not disclose what caused his infection, sources close to him reveal that the tattoo got infected after taking a dip in a hot bathtub.

In August 2019, the reality star was hospitalized after suffering from edema, which was most likely by excessive drinking.

However, the infection is mild, and Margera has long been discharged from the hospital and is back in his house. He is expected to make a full recovery in no time.

The reality star's recent health issue comes only a few weeks after he was fired from the upcoming "Jackass" movie after failing to abide by rules concerning his addiction stated in his contract.

Margera's addiction has also proved to be a bit of a threat to him in the past. In August 2019, the reality star was hospitalized after suffering from edema, most likely by excessive drinking.

However, Margera is happily married despite his many troubles and is a proud father to Phoenix, his beautiful daughter born in 2017. Safe to say, the reality star will always have a safe haven with his family.
