Jill Biden Wears a Dress Similar Meghan Markle's $2,890 Lemon-Print Dress — See Fan Reactions
Late last month, Duchess Meghan appeared in a pre-recorded interview wearing a stunning lemon-print dress. Now fans think Dr. Jill Biden was showing her support by wearing a similar look.
On February 22, 2021, Duchess Meghan, 39, and her husband Prince Harry, 36, took part in Spotify’s Stream On event. For the occasion, the Duchess wore a sleeveless lemon-print dress.
The Citrus Primavera Peplum hem dress was believed to be by fashion designer Oscar de la Renta. According to Saks Fifth Avenue’s website, the clothing item was selling for a whopping $3,490!

Harry and Meghan’s Spotify event appearance featured a soundtrack by Børns called "Electric Love." The dress the royal wore was white in color and was decorated with lemon appliqués.
On March 8, 2021, the US Department of State released a YouTube clip of the First Lady of the US, Dr. Jill Biden, 69, speaking at an event. She was one of the speakers for the special occasion.
Biden was attending the 2021 International Women of Courage Awards virtual ceremony. Fans noticed that she appeared to be wearing a dress that looked like the one Markle wore the previous month.
According to Farfetch's website, the first lady's dress was also by Oscar de la Renta, and it was called the lemon-print A-line dress. Her version of the look cost $2,999 on the website.
The difference between Biden’s dress and Meghan’s was that the first lady’s one had short sleeves. It also had a longer hemline, while the pregnant royal’s one had an above-the-knee hem and a looser fit.
Harry and Meghan’s appearance came after they’d shared they were pregnant.
The FLOTUS added a matching lemon-print face mask and yellow pumps to complete her look while Meghan kept her accessories minimal. Fans picked up on the matching looks, and some thought it was intentional.
One Twitter user shared side-by-side photos of Meghan and Biden in their dresses. The fan shared how they loved that the FLOTUS had on a similar dress as Prince Harry’s wife, adding:
“Definitely a sign of solidarity & we love to see women supporting women…”
A second person responded to a Twitter post by the “Daily Mail” that noted how Biden mirrored Meghan in her dress. This fan also thought it was a form of support on the first lady’s part, writing:
“Heartwarming when the elite spend [sic] big money to back each other up.”
“InStyle,” thought the royal had chosen that particular dress to pay homage to the non-traditional lemon cake she and Harry had at their wedding. Their appearance came after they’d shared they were pregnant.
Meghan and Harry are expecting their second child together, a baby girl, whose due date is sometime in the summer. They are already parents to their one-year-old son, Archie.
