Amy Duggar Compares Her Life Experiences to Meghan Markle's Drama with the Royal Family
Amy Duggar compared her experience with the Duggars to Meghan Markle's drama with the British Royal Family. This comes only a few days after the duchess' controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey.
In the wake of Meghan Markle's tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey, reality star Amy Duggar has spoken out, comparing her experiences with that of the duchess.
Taking to Twitter, Amy explained that she had just watched the interview and could sympathize with Markle in what she described as a very small way.

Amy then went on to share her own experience, noting that just like Markle explained during the interview, she had also felt trapped, controlled, and unheard.
The reality star's tweet referenced her very public feud with her family members, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, who are known for their strict religious values.

However, over time Amy has publicly gone against some of the couple's beliefs, causing a rift between her and the rest of her rather large family.
Speaking about this in her tweet, Amy noted that she was not protected and often scrutinized by her family and their fans. Altogether, the reality star noted that she felt there was no way out.
One of the strict rules Amy had to put up with is the Duggar's belief that sex is mainly for procreation and not pleasure. They, therefore, believe there should be no sex before marriage, and women should cover their legs, arms, and shoulders.
However, over the years, Amy has flouted most of these rules as she often shows off her arms and legs in outfits she wears. She also openly talks about her sex life and urges her fans to be more intimate in the bedroom.
Amy's comparison of her experience with Markle's is not the first that has surfaced since the duchess' controversial interview with Winfrey last Sunday.
Popular journalist and reality star Carole Radziwll also recently took to social media, comparing Markle's situation with that of her late friend Carolyn-Bessette-Kennedy who married into the famous Kennedy family.

While reactions continue to trail Markle's interview, there is no doubt that she remains an inspiration to several black women across the world.
