Kelly Ripa Breaks Silence on Social Media after Taking Time off from 'Live' — See Her Post

Kelly Ripa has kept fans wondering about her, but now, it seems the actress and daytime talk show host is ready to give a glimpse into what she has been up to lately.

Ripa made a return to social media on Tuesday when she shared an adorable Instagram story update featuring her two dogs, Chewy and Lena, in celebration of National Puppy Day.

While one of Ripa's furry pets sweetly laid in its bed, the other was captured on the floor, looking towards the camera. The post is presumed to have been taken in the actress' $27 million Manhattan home.

Ripa's recent post comes after a long absence from social media and hosting duties on the ABC daytime talk show "Live! With Kelly & Ryan," which she co-hosts alongside Ryan Seacrest.

Since Monday, Ripa has been absent from the show, but her role is temporarily taken by Maria Menounos, who has co-hosted with Seacrest since the week began. Ripa started hosting the daytime talk show in 2001 after Kathie Lee Gifford left.

Ripa and Seacrest have an amazing friendship which they have somehow manage to incorporate into the show.

Between then and now, she has co-hosted with the late Regis Philbin and former NFL star Michael Strahan. Seacrest joined the actress in 2017, and ever since, they have brought nothing but magic to television screens across the United States.

Amid the pandemic last year, the duo continued hosting their show from home. Adorably, all of Ripa's three kids with her husband Mark Consuelos made cameo appearances.

While the reason for Ripa's absence from the show remains unclear, sources close to the actress have revealed that she always takes a few weeks off in March. However, fans of the show can not wait for Ripa's return as the actress has undeniable chemistry with her co-host that viewers can't help but love.

This comes as no surprise, seeing that off-air, Ripa and Seacrest have an amazing friendship which they have somehow manage to incorporate into the show.

For instance, viewers of the show are often treated to back-and-forth banter between Ripa and Seacrest, and even though it is mostly scripted, the duo make it very candid.

Though it remains uncertain when Ripa would be returning to "Live! With Kelly & Ryan," there is no doubt that fans can't wait to see her back on their screens.
