THE NEWEST VOICE
Grande, who is a big fan of the show, has been negotiating to secure a spot amongst the star-studded judging panel on "The Voice" and has finally managed to find her way onto the show.
The award-winning pop singer shared the exciting news on social media, announcing that she will be building her own team on the hit singing competition show. Posing in a leopard print outfit, Grande tweeted:
"i am beyond thrilled, honored, excited to be joining @kellyclarkson @johnlegend @blakeshelton next season ~ season 21 of @nbcthevoice! @nickjonas we will miss you"
NOT A FINAL GOODBYE
Although Grande has been appointed as the new judge, the Jonas Brothers singer will not be saying his final goodbyes to "The Voice." He is said to still be part of the stars who are part of the show's rotation and will be featuring soon.
The reason for the "Spaceman" singer's departure from "The Voice" has not been disclosed.
Jonas is still part of season 20 that is currently airing. He is working alongside his remaining artists to get them as far into the competition as possible,, with a winning title as the ultimate goal. New episodes air on NBC on Mondays at 8 pm ET.
CONGRATULATIONS IN ORDER
Regardless of his fans' clear disappointment that he is leaving the show for a second time, Jonas seems excited to have Grande join the family of judges that the show has seen come and go.
The "Close" singer took to Twitter to congratulate Grande on her new position on the show, indicating that he is happy to move on and have the pop singer take his place. With his followers showing their dismay, he shared:
"Congrats @ArianaGrande! You’re going to kill it next season! Welcome to the family ?."
UNKNOWN EXIT
The reason for the "Spaceman" singer's departure from "The Voice" has not been disclosed. The statement released only reveals that the show is excited to have Grande on the judging panel without a reference to Jonas's exit.
Jonas will now join the group of judges-past which includes Christina Agulera, Cee Lo Green, and Adam Levine. Although most judges decide to move on to pursue other opportunities, Levine left because of a reported intensity between the judges.
Shakira was also seen in the swiveling red chair during the fourth and sixth season of the show but didn't return because of the difficulty that the opportunity presented for her family life as the singer has her son to think of.
The "Hips don't lie" singer was joined by Usher during the seasons that she was seen on "The Voice." He left the show without publically giving a reason but there doesn't seem to be hard feelings as he has expressed a willingness to return.
