Thursdays are for throwbacks! Famous actress Taraji P Henson took her fans down memory lane when she took to her personal Instagram page with an old photo of herself.

In her caption, the talented actress revealed when she thinks the picture was taken. She wrote, "Lil TJ in the 8th grade (I think) my momma knows."

Henson looked adorable in the shot. She sported voluminous bangs— a classic hairstyle popular in the 80s. She wore a white top coupled with a black bowtie and a beautiful smile.

Her comment section was filled with compliments from her fans who loved the snap. Many expressed love for the classic hairstyle, while others pointed out how she did not seem to age.

This is not Henson's first time sharing an old photo of herself. In 2017, the "Think Like a Man" actress took to her Instagram page with an old photo of herself circa 1991.

Henson has come a long way in her life. She was born to a working-class family that split apart when she was just two years old.

The actress had pointed to her dad, a metal fabricator who went through tough times when he got laid off, as her main source of support and inspiration as she got older. As a teenager, she attended Oxon Hill High School.

After graduating in 1988, she spent her first college year studying electrical engineering at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University. Henson could not keep up, so she transferred to Howard University.

There she studied theater, held down two jobs, and honed her singing, dancing, and acting skills. Her hard work guaranteed her a "triple threat scholarship."

Henson's acting career took off In 2001 when she landed a starring role in "Baby Boy." From there, she featured in more hit movies, including "Smokin' Aces."

Henson's stellar performance as the adoptive mother of Brad Pitt's character in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" showcased her adaptability and range as an actress.

It earned her nominations at the Screen Actors Guild and Academy Awards. Since then, she has gotten even more popular on the entertainment scene, securing main roles in movies like "Hidden Figures."

Henson is perhaps best known for her role as Cookie in the popular drama series "Empire." Her performances have so far had range and depth. Fans can't wait to see more from the incredibly driven actress.
