Pierce Brosnan lovingly marked his mother Mary Smith’s 89th birthday over the weekend with heartwarming words. The iconic actor took to Instagram and shared a sweet picture of the matriarch.
Smith looked gorgeous in a simple, casual ensemble consisting of a cute nude turtle-neck sweater paired with blue jeans trousers. She held a glass jar with flowers in one hand and a bag in the other.

Her blonde hair was styled into a neat bob, and she posed by the door of her home. She smiled radiantly at the camera in celebration of her day. In the accompanying caption, her actor son wrote:
“Happy 89th birthday to my darling Mother May. You have given me the world with your love. All my love in return...Pierce xx.”
Fans in the comments section wished Smith a happy birthday, praising her for raising someone as awesome as the “Die Another Day” star. Others gushed over how stunning she looked in the image shared.

The “Mamma Mia” actor held on tightly to his mother as they walked around Sloane Square before settling for a lunch break at a spot. The 67-year-old looked dapper in a navy ensemble consisting of a fitted coat and matching trousers.
He spiced the look with a stylish fedora hat and a matching scarf tied around his neck. He held an umbrella and finished off his outfit with a pair of suede shoes. Smith twinned with her son, wearing a navy padded jacket.

In recent news, it was reported that Brosnan is set to star alongside Dwayne Johnson in the new DC Comics movie, “Black Adam.” In what will be his first superhero role, Brosnan will play classic hero, Dr. Fate.
