Now, he is about to embark on a new journey as a superhero in the upcoming DC and New Line film, “Black Adam,” alongside Dwayne Johnson. Brosnan will be making his superhero debut as Kent Nelson, aka Dr. Fate.

Fate founded the Justice Society of America and possessed superhuman abilities whenever he has his Helmet of Fate. The character first surfaced in the 1940 book “More Fun Comics #5,” making him among DC’s oldest characters.

The titular character, Black Adam, is the antagonist of the story played by Johnson. Last year, the actor previewed his costume on Twitter alongside a photo with his eyes glowing. He wrote:

“You’ve waited long enough. As have I, thousands of years to be exact. The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is about to change.”

“Black Adam” follows 2019’s hit movie, “Shazam!” whose titular character is Black Adam’s archrival in the DC Universe. Although further details of the film are being kept secret, fans are excited to see acclaimed actors such as Brosnan onboard.

Brosnan has proved himself an outstanding actor, appearing in the “Mamma Mia!” movies and “The Thomas Crown Affair.” Most recently, he appeared in the Netflix film, “Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Five Sagasoon.”

His years in Hollywood and many high-grossing blockbuster hits allowed Brosnan to afford a lavish lifestyle, including a gorgeous $100 million Malibu, California, mansion called The Orchid House.

His James Bond-inspired residence features a Southeast Asian vibe from his second Bond film, “Tomorrow Never Dies.” Brosnan shares his home with his wife, filmmaker Keely Brosnan.
