Shannen Doherty Looks Great Posing Makeup-Free in Vancouver to Mark Her 50th Birthday

Shannen Doherty decided to appear without makeup as she celebrated her 50th birthday and looked very stunning even though she's been struggling with breast cancer.

It has appeared that Shannen Doherty has a love for flaunting her natural skin. This is evident in the photos that have trailed the internet showing the beauty with no makeup.

It was not any different when she took to Instagram a few hours ago to upload a beautiful picture of herself in the spirit of her 50th birthday celebration.

For someone of 50, Doherty looked elegant in a plain black top while rocking her black hair. The picture which was taken in her kitchen showcased the kitchen's counter and cupboard behind her. The snapshot had a lot of grace to it, and it was captioned:

"Birthday thoughts in Vancouver."

The photos had lots of reactions with over 6,969 comments. The fans had lovely things to say about the snapshot. The majority were birthday wishes; one comment read, "babyface. Beautiful. Happy birthday."

The beauty of the actress's skin and her poise in the picture isn't the only thing to admire in Doherty. Her strength and resilience towards challenging experiences life have thrown her way is also quite astonishing and inspiring.

The actress did not share the news of her health with the public for fear of being treated differently.

The 50-year-old was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015 and underwent a mastectomy, including a series of chemotherapy and radiation. She finally went into remission in 2018.

The actress didn't allow cancer to affect her marriage with her husband, Kurt Iswarienko. Doherty told People that cancer solidified her marriage, and it allowed her and Iswarienko to have a much deeper appreciation of themselves.

Despite fighting for her life, the actress did not share the news of her health with the public for fear of being treated differently. She said that if she had said something much earlier, people would have looked at her like a dead man walking.

Doherty went on to say that she enjoyed working and her work gave her a reason to wake up every morning and fight to stay alive, something she has been taking in stride.

After being in remission in 2018, the actress revealed to the public in 2020 that her breast cancer had returned and had spread. Doherty told CNN that she had been trying to treasure all the small moments that most people would not see.

The actress is set to undergo hormone therapy to block the estrogen fueling her cancer and a second targeted drug that effectively stabilizes metastatic disease and can only hope for the best.
