Fans may recall that Frogmore Cottage was gifted to Harry and Meghan after their wedding in May 2018. Although the duo stepped back from royal duties in January 2020, they fully repaid the $3 million renovation costs after relocating to the U.S.
In November, it was reported that then-pregnant Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank moved into Frogmore Cottage. At the time, a spokesperson for the Sussexes confirmed that the property still belonged to them.
Nevertheless, Harry and Meghan were thrilled to open up their home to Eugenie and Brooksbank. It comes as no surprise that the Princess of York moved into Harry's U.K's residence.
Eugenie and Harry's tight bond was translated into her relationship with Meghan.
According to the book "Finding Freedom," Harry and Eugenie share a tight bond and are the closest among the monarch's eight grandchildren. Authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand claimed the duo had a "natural connection."
Their closeness was evident in the many nights they spent in London. Harry also always confided in Eugenie about his romantic escapades, seeking her advice. The 31-year-old was described as being wise ahead of her years.
Eugenie and Harry's tight bond was translated into her relationship with Meghan when the former actress became a part of the royal family. Sources claim that Eugenie is the only royal that remains close to Meghan.
Their friendship was taken to a new level when both ladies discovered they were pregnant around the same time. Insiders alleged that the duo were in contact throughout their pregnancies.
A source claimed that rumors of Meghan's pregnancy announcement offending Eugenie were untrue as the latter couldn't be more thrilled about sharing a meaningful journey with the Duchess of Sussex.
After her announcement in September, Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank welcomed their beloved son on February 9. The new mom commemorated the milestone with a lovely black-and-white image.
