People: 'The Voice' Alum Adam Wakefield and 'Nashville' Star Jenny Leigh Get Married
"The Voice" alum Adam Wakefield marries singer-actress Jenny Leigh in a garden-themed wedding in Fairview, Tennessee. The couple was surrounded by only their closest family and friends.
After being together for almost ten years, Adam Wakefield and Jenny Leigh have decided to take their relationship up a notch by getting married at True North, a private venue and farm in Fairview, Tennessee.
The lovely couple was surrounded by their loved ones in the venue, owned by their good friends Jim and Toni Turner. According to Leigh, True North was the perfect place for them to get married as it held a special meaning in their lives.
The singer revealed that she actually went to college with the Turners' sons. When she moved to Nashville with Wakefield and another friend, Ryan Sorestad, back in 2013, the family offered to let them stay in the property.
While they wanted to have more family and friends with them, they wanted to start having a family.
The newly-wed couple ended up staying in one of the Turners' cabins for almost a year, where they wrote songs and started building their careers in music. As this is where they started dreaming, she revealed it held a very special place in their hearts.
"Ryan prepared an amazing message and married us where it all started for us here in Nashville."
Leigh and Wakefield met at a music festival in Baltimore almost 10 years ago. She went on to appear on "Nashville" while her then-boyfriend joined "The Voice. By September 2020, they got engaged.
However, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, their wedding plans kept getting altered to adjust to the current situation. They ended up scaling back the people they invited to immediate family and local friends and colleagues to minimize travel.

While they wanted to have more family and friends with them, they wanted to start having a family. If they had a long engagement and pushed back the wedding, it would not be ideal for them.
To keep those in the ceremony safe, everyone who attended needed to get COVID-19 tested twice. They purchased rapid kits for attendees to use before entering the venue.
Now that they've gotten married, Leigh and Wakefield join the growing list of gorgeous country music couples in the industry. They can learn a thing or two from happily-married couples Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Luke Bryan, and Caroline Boyer, among many others.
Recently, another Hollywood couple had a fairytale ending that ended in marriage. Jeannie Mai and Jeezy got married in a simple yet gorgeous ceremony with their closest family and friends.
Like Leigh and Wakefield, Mai and Jeezy did not want life to pass them by. They wanted to make the most out of their life together, and so they decided to get married.
