After serving as a guest host for 5 episodes of "Jeopardy!," fans of the show are gushing over NFL star Aaron Rodgers' exceptional performance. Over the weekend, viewers took to social media to share their thoughts. One user wrote:

"Never saw this plot twist coming: Aaron Rodgers is the best Jeopardy host and the only one I want filling in Alex Trebek's shoes."

One viewer shared that watching Rodgers serve as host for the past two weeks left him and his family incredibly delighted. He expressed his desire for Rodgers to be picked as a permanent host.

A fan named Martha noted that although it seemed Rodgers would prefer to keep playing football, she wouldn't mind seeing him return to the screens as she had loved watching him in the past weeks.

Fans aren't the only ones lauding Rodgers for doing an excellent job as a guest host. According to reports, Mike Richards, the show's executive producer, was pleased with how the quarterback performed.

During last week's episode, the NFL player hilariously teased the contestants after failing a sport-related question.

Richards was reportedly blown away by how hard the 37-year-old prepared to host the show. In an interview, Richards compared Rodgers's intense preparation to "breaking down game footage."

He noted that the sportsman always asked him questions, wanting to be his best. The executive producer shared that although the Packers player was nervous, he improved drastically as the week went on.

It comes as no surprise that both the fans and the show's management are impressed with Rodgers' performance. During last week's episode, the NFL player hilariously teased the contestants after failing a sport-related question.

After none of the participants got a $400 clue about a question about his club, the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers, took a jab at contestant Dennis who answered a $600 clue about the Boston Celtics, saying, "Oh, you know that one, huh?"

Before his time as guest host, Rodgers opened up about the possibility of being a permanent host during an interview. The athlete revealed he was open to taking on the role of hosting as a full-time job.

The NFL player recalled watching hours and hours of "Jeopardy!" to prepare because he wanted to see things from late Alex Trebek's perspective. He also noted that he wouldn't mind shaving to get the gig of a permanent host.
