Richards was reportedly blown away by how hard the 37-year-old prepared to host the show. In an interview, Richards compared Rodgers's intense preparation to "breaking down game footage."

He noted that the sportsman always asked him questions, wanting to be his best. The executive producer shared that although the Packers player was nervous, he improved drastically as the week went on.

It comes as no surprise that both the fans and the show's management are impressed with Rodgers' performance. During last week's episode, the NFL player hilariously teased the contestants after failing a sport-related question.

After none of the participants got a $400 clue about a question about his club, the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers, took a jab at contestant Dennis who answered a $600 clue about the Boston Celtics, saying, "Oh, you know that one, huh?"

Before his time as guest host, Rodgers opened up about the possibility of being a permanent host during an interview. The athlete revealed he was open to taking on the role of hosting as a full-time job.

The NFL player recalled watching hours and hours of "Jeopardy!" to prepare because he wanted to see things from late Alex Trebek's perspective. He also noted that he wouldn't mind shaving to get the gig of a permanent host.
