Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane were supposed to perform "Maggie's Song" at the 2021 ACM Awards, but when it was time for the performance, Miranda Lambert appeared with him. Throughout the show, the "Bluebird" crooner appeared in three different performances.

To kick off the show, she had a duet with Elle King as they sang "Drunk (And I Don't Want to Go Home)." She also performed alongside Jack Ingram and Jon Randall as they sang "In His Arms," something from her upcoming album "The Marfa Tapes."

Her most surprising performance was when she joined Stapleton for a performance of "Maggie's Song," which is on his latest album, "Starting Over." It was originally supposed to be his wife Morgane joining him until she had to cancel.

The song was special to the Stapleton couple, as it was written for their late lab-terrier mix. It turns out Morgane had to cancel due to a prior doula commitment.

It comes with no surprise that Lambert was first in line to fill in for Stapleton's wife, as she is a record-holder in ACM Awards history. She is currently the most nominated and most awarded female artist since the award's conception.

The Grammy Award-winning actress had three different outfit changes that night.

Joining her on that night was husband Brendan McLoughlin, who supported the country music star as she conquered her three performances of the night. Despite her business that night, they were able to spend some time together on the red carpet.

Of course, as she took the stage numerous times, the Grammy Award-winning actress had three different outfit changes that night. From sporting a fringed leather look that matched what King was wearing, she changed to a brown fringed jacket and denim jeans.

Last but not least, Lambert wore an all-denim outfit that she matched with a white cowboy hat as she went on stage for her performance alongside Ingram and Randall. It was the same look she had on then she posed alongside her husband on the red carpet.
