9 Children Shot after a Confrontation at a 12-Year-Old's Birthday Party Ends in a Gunfire
A 12-year-old's birthday bash quickly turned into a bloodbath after two groups had an altercation, resulting in a cross-fire shooting. Nine children were shot during the unfortunate event.
A sheriff's office has recorded a mass shooting during the birthday party of a 12-year-old in the Golfview area of Louisiana. During the shootout, nine children were hit.
The incident was said to have started as an argument between two groups with a seeming ongoing feud. The word exchange soon resulted in firearms exchange while people scrambled for safety.
Reports show that more than 60 children were attendees at the party, and nine were left with gunshots to various parts of their bodies. A 16-year-old received a gunshot to the ribs; another teenager was shot to the arm.
A younger teenager was grazed in the ankle and a 14-year-old was shot in the leg. Another 15-year-old was shot on the foot and a 13-year-old male on the leg while a 12-year-old was shot on both legs.

Two were hospitalized and are in stable condition. There were no deaths.

A 16-year-old was shot in the stomach, and a 14-year-old was shot in the head. All but one of the victims is identified as male. They were all taken to the hospital, and seven of them have been certified healthy.
However, the teenagers shot in the stomach and head remain in hospital care and are in stable condition. The John the Baptist Parish Sheriff, Michael Tregre, made it known there are no leads yet on the assailants.
Shootings have been reported in places like Indianapolis, Texas, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.

No witnesses have come forward to talk to investigators, the sheriff says.

He noted that although there were several witnesses at the party, no one has come forward with vital information or description of the suspects. He urged witnesses to do the needful by contacting the proper authorities.

Another fatal incident was reported at the Hobart Boulevard area of South Los Angeles, where a 12-year-old girl was among those shot during a birthday party. She was said to have been taken to the hospital alongside a 37-year-old woman.
Witnesses relayed to the Los Angeles Police Department that a green SUV had pulled up close to the party before the gunman got out of the passenger side and opened fire.
The shooting has been certified as gang-related, although the two injured people have no connection to any gang. The assailants in this case also fled the scene of the crime.
