Brianna Ratliff went missing after letting loved ones know that she was going to a gas station on April 15. She was later found dead inside an abandoned home, and now, her friend is being charged for her death.

Ratliff was last seen at 7 PM in the Hall Park area of Coshocton, Ohio, where she was headed to a gas station. After she mysteriously vanished, a regional search was done to find her.

Unfortunately, the search was stopped after a search party member found a deceased woman inside a vacant home. The description of the woman matched Ratliff's.

A member of a non-profit victim advocacy group named Golden Hearts A Voice 4 the Voiceless and a cadaver dog found the body, and Coshocton County Coroner Douglas Virostko revealed that the woman "suffered a traumatic death."

Despite the revelation, authorities have not revealed the specific details of how Ratliff passed away. However, they took 19-year-old Grewell into custody in connection to the murder.

A day after, he was formally charged with aggravated murder which is an unclassified felony. He is currently being held on a $1 million bond, but authorities stated that more charges could be filed after the Coshocton County Prosecutor's Office reviews the case.

Coshocton County Prosecutor Jason Given asked the judge to place a large bond amount as the evidence against Grewell was strong. It included alleged confessions and statements from eyewitnesses, along with the murder weapon used by the 19-year-old. The prosecutor added that the woman was killed "with prior calculation."

A vigil was held on behalf of Ratcliff, led by her mother, Laurelanne Ratliff. According to the devastated mom, her daughter dreamt of opening an art gallery and pursuing a career in the animation industry.

She also revealed that her daughter knew the accused murderer since they were in middle school and have remained close through the years. Mrs. Ratcliff added that he considered him a good friend of hers. She revealed that her daughter would go anywhere with him if he asked.

"She didn't trust a whole lot of people, but Blake was one she trusted. She would go anywhere with him. If she wasn't messaging me, she was messaging him, and they talked."

A couple of days prior, a pregnant woman named Dianna Brice was found dead. She was found almost a week after she disappeared, while her boyfriend, Justin Smith, remains missing.

In Idaho, an 8-year-old girl named Taryn Summers was found dead in a woman named Corinne Smith's property. The young woman was Smith's granddaughter, and it turned out she punished her after she defecated on the carpet of her home.
