Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi Bryant lost their lives in a helicopter crash at the beginning of 2020, leaving only memories and nostalgic photos for their grieving family.

Taking to social media, Kobe Bryant's sister Sharia Bryant shared encapturing never-before-seen pictures of her late niece. Gigi would have turned 15 years old had she still been alive.

Gigi was illuminating in the first shot, surrounded by colors that only served to brighten her striking aura. She dressed playfully, donning Mickey Mouse attire complete with a polka-dot bow and a big smile.

MISSING THE BLACK MAMBA

Gigi was dressed up in black basketball gear in the second photo, her face much more serious than before, with piercing dark eyes and her arms crossed in a power-woman position. Sharia wrote in the caption:

"Happy 15th birthday Gigi❤️ You inspire us to do better and be better everyday."

She also expressed how much she and her whole family loves her. Gigi's top had the word "Mamba" on it, a reference to Kobe's nickname "Black Mamba."

ALWAYS A PRINCESS

The last snapshot in the post was of an adorable Gigi when she was just a tiny baby. She wore a puffy pink princess dress while propped on the grass in the sun.

The only thing missing was her dad's presence.

The photos appeared to be taken from different periods of Gigi's life. Older to younger admirers of Gigi wrote in the comment section, sending their condolences and birthday wishes.

ART IN REMEMBRANCE

A great way to remember and mourn loved ones is to express feelings for them through art. Gigi's mother, Vanessa Bryant, recently set the clothing line Mambacita in motion to commemorate her birthday.

In the same breath, Sharia herself got a tattoo last year to remember her brother and niece. The body ink included an infinity-shaped snake to commemorate Kobe's '"Black Mamba" nickname.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROTHER

Sharia also commemorated her brother's 42nd birthday last year via social media. She wrote an intensively heartfelt caption expressing her grief for the late basketball player, which partially read:

"I’ve typed and deleted this so many times. There are simply no words to describe how I’m feeling today."

Carrying on, she wrote out how much she missed him. She shared three touching images of Kobe, one black-and-white shot, with the young sports star smiling widely at the camera.

Luckily, not all Bryant family birthday posts have to be filled with mourning. At the beginning of this year, Sharia chose to share throwback pictures of her alive and breathing niece Natalia for her eighteenth birthday.

Natalia, another one of Kobe's children, was included in many snapshots that her aunt shared of her, such as a loving collage. The only thing missing was her dad's presence.
