Meghan Markle Honors Her Daughter on the Way by Wearing a Special Gold Necklace at Vax Live
Meghan Markle is preparing to become a mother for the second time, this time to a little girl. The Duchess of Sussex is going the extra mile to show that she already loves her daughter.
Meghan Markle included a special nod to her little bundle of joy on the way when choosing the jewelry she would wear for her virtual appearance at the Global Citizen's VAX Live: The Concert to Reunite the World.
Markle, 39, wore a cherry red dress with a floral pattern as she gave a powerful speech during the event. The Duchess of Sussex mentioned her excitement over welcoming her daughter into the world, evidenced by her necklace.

SPECIAL GIRL
The gold necklace that hung around the royal's neck is an Awe Inspired piece called "Women Power Charm Necklace." The charm is a combination between a raised fist and the female symbol.
Markle's speech championed the need for equal distribution of the COVID-19 vaccinations, focusing on women of color. The mom-to-be said that thinking of her daughter made the issue all the more real and pressing for her. Markle shared:
"When we think of her, we think of all the young women and girls around the globe who must be given the ability and the support to lead us forward."
CAMPAIGN CHAIRS
Markle and 36-year-old Prince Harry served as campaign chairs for the event, which aimed to raise money to distribute vaccines across the world to marginalized communities that do not have access.
Markle also isn't the first royal to use her jewelry as a tribute to a loved one, it may be something that she learned from Queen Elizabeth.
With the help of the Duchess of Sussex and a plethora of other Hollywood celebrities, the organization's goal of buying 10 million vaccines was surpassed, enabling them to help more people.
SENTIMENTAL JEWELRY
The former "Suits" star is known to include sentimental pieces of jewelry in her outfits. During her sitdown with Oprah Winfrey in March, Markle took a piece of late Princess Diana with her in the form of a bracelet.
The Duchess donned a diamond bracelet on her wrist that used to be part of her mother-in-law's jewelry collection. Markle chose to wear the special piece for a reason as a spokesperson shared:
"They wanted to wear the bracelet to have (Harry's) mother there with them during the interview."
BUTTERFLY EARRINGS
The explosive interview was not the first time Prince Harry's wife wore some of his mother's jewelry as Markle has been seen in some of Princess Diana's pieces before.
The day after the royal couple announced that they were expecting their firstborn, Markle was spotted wearing a pair of Princess Diana's earrings, namely the butterfly earrings she wore on her tour of Canada in May 1986.
Markle isn't the first royal to use her jewelry as a tribute to a loved one; it may be something that she learned from Queen Elizabeth. The monarch is known to honor her beloved husband, Prince Philip, with her stunning jewelry.
One iconic piece is the bracelet that the Duke of Edinburgh gifted his wife for their wedding day. The diamond bracelet has been seen on the reigning royal's arm for portraits and special events.
