Katie Holmes Shares a Throwback Photo of Daughter Suri to Celebrate Mother's Day

American actress Katie Holmes celebrated Mother's Day in the most special way by sharing a rare picture of her only child and daughter Suri.

America celebrated Mother's Day on Sunday, and celebrities were not left out. Many of them took to social media to celebrate motherhood and pay tribute to their moms.

Actress Katie Holmes also participated in the celebrations by taking to her Instagram page to share a rare picture of herself and her 15-year-old daughter, Suri.

Suri is Holmes' only daughter with her ex-husband Tom Cruise, and the picture her mother shared was taken when she was just a baby.

It showed Holmes kissing her adorable daughter's cheek tenderly while the little tot looked straight down the camera. In the post's caption, the actress wrote:

"I am so grateful to be a mom to the sweetest daughter. Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms!!!! ?????."

The beautiful picture and the sweet caption that accompanied it generated loads of reactions from Holmes' friends and fans, who took turns wishing her a happy Mother's Day.

One fan said that both mother and daughter looked gorgeous in the photo, while another fan said the never-before-seen snap represented a beautiful daughter with her beautiful mother.

Holmes shares a close relationship with her daughter, which has been observed through the years. The "First Daughter" actress has been a single mom to Suri since the latter was seven years old.

She split from Cruise a couple of years after having Suri. Since the split, reports state that Cruise has disconnected from his ex-wife and has not seen Suri since she was seven.

However, Holmes has remained a doting mother to her only child and is rarely seen without Suri at her side. Hence, the teenager has picked up some of her mother's habits, such as the love of coffee.

Holmes also loves to keep her daughter up late at night as they enjoy New York's culture, often visiting galleries, museums, the theatre, and other cultural events at night.

Besides Cruise, Holmes has been involved with other men. Before her relationship with the "Mission: Impossible" actor started in 2005, she was engaged to Chris Klein.

A year after divorcing Cruise in 2012, Holmes dated Jamie Foxx but split from him in 2019. She also sparked dating rumors with Emilio Vitolo Jr. last September after they were seen together twice in New York City.

However, despite her romantic relationships, Holmes' main focus is her daughter's well-being, who she feels blessed to have and wants to see succeed.
