Rob Lowe Shares an Emotional Message to Mark His 31 Years of Sobriety

Hollywood's actor and producer, Rob Lowe, celebrated his 31 years of alcohol and drug-free life. He took to social media to share a sweet snapshot of himself while also passing out an important message.

Star actor Rob Lowe took to his Instagram page to celebrate with fans and friends his 31 years of abstinence from drugs and alcohol with a photo of himself having a refreshing time on the beachside.

Rocking a simple grey shirt and a pair of dark green pants, Lowe looked relaxed and absolutely breathtaking as he rode barefooted on a bicycle along the beachside.

He took the opportunity to write to all those who walked the path with him, thanking them while also inviting those who wanted to join this drug-free path. He sure didn't forget to thank his family for putting up with him during his trying times.

His post attracted a lot of attention from fans as they dropped nice notes in the comments box. Some appreciated him for his courage and wished him well on this day.

In a recent interview, Lowe noted that he is a believer in abstinence, therapy, and recovery. Still, anyone with a problem has to acknowledge the fact that they need help first.

[Lowe] noted that above any movie or TV show he accomplished, being a father would always be his greatest achievement.

He sincerely stated that no one could get healthy for a job, a relationship, or any cause at all. He pointed out that people can only get the help they need for themselves when they decide to.

Lowe, 56, who gave up drugs and alcohol in 1990, reflected on his past battle with addiction as a teenager in a recent exclusive interview. The movie director revealed that as young actors, they were always provided with beers despite being under 21.

He also noted that every ten years, another rising star endures similar struggles with addiction. He made it known that there are two sides to addiction struggles and you either come out way better or worse.

Embracing fatherhood, the Hollywood star can't help but be proud of his two sons as they took in his footsteps. Since experiencing parenthood with Sheryl Berkoff, Lowe has made his children his priority.

The doting father noted that above any movie or TV show he accomplished, being a father would always be his greatest achievement, and raising his two adorable sons has always been his favorite thing.
