NBA legend Magic Johnson and his wife, Cookie Johnson, joined their star son, EJ Johnson, in celebrating the new milestone he attained in his entertainment career.
Along with Billy Porter and Zachary Quinto, EJ Johnson has been announced as the newest voice to join the coming season of Disney's "The Proud Family."
The good news was heartily shared on Instagram by EJ and his parents, who could not hold back the pride they felt. The star parents took to their pages with screenshots of Deadline's announcement.

The announcement presented the bold pictures of the entertainers who would be joining the former cast of the animated series. Magic showed his happiness as he sent a shoutout to his son.
Cookie's post pretty much mirrored her husband's shoutout as the couple let their son know how proud they were about his progress. Cookie praised EJ, gushing over how much work he put into his craft.
EJ shared the one screenshot as he welled up his feelings of joy. The "The Rich Kids of Beverly Hills" star announced details of his new role, revealing he would be playing Michael Collins on the show.
Michael Collins is the best friend of Penny Proud, and his character would unfold as a non-conforming trendy entity who opts for bold looks in school and on the basketball court.
EJ noted that his dad's countenance changed after he returned from college and received a big hug from the NBA icon.
Porter and Quinto would play the roles of Randall and Barry Leibowitz-Jenkins, the adoptive parents of teenage activist Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins (Keke Palmer.)
The newly introduced trio would be a part of the "The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder" series in 2022 on Disney+. They would join the likes of Cedric the Entertainer, Paula Jai Parker, Jo Marie Payton, Carlos Mencia, and Alisa Reyes.
"The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder" would be executively produced by Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farquhar, as they did in the original series. Others in the production crew include Jan Hirota and Calvin Brown Jr.
Many fans have come to know and love EJ for his unabashed love for fashion as a reality star, and it is safe to say that many are gearing to see another exciting side to his entertainment streak.
Once sharing his coming out story, EJ and his mom joined Jada Pinkett Smith on "Red Table Talk." He recalled the first time he shared his truth with his parents and how his dad's reaction was tough.
His star mom narrated the occurrence, sharing that Magic did not take it well but came around after some time. EJ noted that his dad's countenance changed after he returned from college and received a big hug from the NBA icon.
