It has been more than five years since Céline Dion lost her beloved husband, René Angélil. However, the renowned singer and her three sons still have him deeply etched in their hearts.

In a recent interview with Today, Dion opened up about how she and the boys — René-Charles, Eddy, and Nelson — continue to keep the late Angélil alive as they go about their day-to-day lives.

While discussing how the pandemic helped her return to the basics and rediscover the simple pleasures of life in her family, Dion revealed she could reflect on the demise of Angélil and his continuing legacy. She explained:

"I feel like René has given me so much through the years and still today. I see my kids. I look at them — we live with him. We still live with him. He's part of our lives every day…."

"The Power of Love" crooner admitted that losing the love of her life and seeing her kids without their father was "quite something." However, his constantly abiding presence has helped her stay strong throughout the years.

Despite the immense losses suffered, Dion has remained strong over the years and has found joy in her thriving career.

When asked by the interviewer if she planned on falling in love, the five-time Grammy Award winner said she didn't know. Dion noted that she felt full of love thanks to her sons and wasn't actively thinking about a relationship.

In January, the 53-year-old legendary singer commemorated the 5th death anniversary of her music producer husband. She uploaded a tear-jerking photo of her hand entwined with Angélil's while on the beach.

In the emotional caption, Dion revealed that not one day has passed that she hadn't thought of Angélil. She urged her late husband to watch over her and their boys while noting that he remains in their hearts forever.

Angélil, a Canadian talent manager, passed away in 2016 in Las Vegas after a long battle with throat cancer. The famous producer, who died at 73, was responsible for launching Dion's career when she was a teenager.

Unfortunately, days after Angéli's passing, Dion experienced a double dose of tragedy when her brother Daniel Dion died of cancer at 59 years old. Daniel, the eighth of fourteen children, was also a performer and battled cancer for years.

Despite the immense losses suffered, Dion has remained strong over the years and has found joy in her thriving career and family. Earlier this month, she celebrated Mother's Day with a heartwarming upload.

Dion shared a sweet photo of her and her three sons enjoying an outdoor moment surrounded by their dogs. She disclosed in the accompanying caption that she was privileged to be a mother.
