Ciara and Russell Wilson Celebrate Future's 7th Birthday with Touching Posts

Ciara and Russell Wilson took to Instagram to celebrate her son, Future's seventh birthday. Although Wilson is not Future's biological father, the NFL player has lots of love for the youngster and considers him a son.

Ciara Wilson and Nayvadius "Future" Wilburn's son, Future Zahir Wilburn, turned seven years old on May 19, and the special day was met with love and celebration from his mom and stepdad, Ciara's husband Russell Wilson.

The "Like A Boy" hitmaker and her NFL player husband took to Instagram to share their loving messages and sweet wishes for Future as he marked another year around the sun.

Ciara commemorated her firstborn's big day with a carousel of photos of memorable times over the years. The first photo showed the adorable Future posing in a golf car while winking at the camera.

In the next photo, Future was seen posing with the "Goodies" songstress on an amusement park ride while other snaps showed Future's loving relationship with his younger siblings, Sienna Princess and Win Harrison Wilson.

Ciara's slideshow also included a throwback photo of herself and Future as a tiny newborn. That same motherly love resonated in the lengthy tribute where she listed his amazing qualities, including his curiosity, determination, and sense of wonder.

Wilson caused social media upset when he referred to himself as young Future's "daddy" in a birthday message.

The "I Bet" singer also said Future is the "sweetest Son, and Big Brother anyone could ask for." That sentiment was echoed in her husband, Wilson's tribute as he recalled the day he met his stepson.

Wilson showed his love and appreciation for the young Future with a heartfelt message accompanied by photos and videos of distinctive moments shared together, including videos of himself playing baseball with Future. The caption read:

"I didn’t just fall in love with your mom, but I knew God was blessing me with you too [...] I Love you son all the way to Heaven & Back!"

Wilson's post gained him a lot of applause and admiration from his followers because of his close bond with Future, despite being his stepfather. "Love this. Russell is not a stepfather, he’s a father that stepped up," wrote one fan.

The Seattle Seahawks' relationship with Future has always been under scrutiny, particularly from Wilburn's fans. Last year, Wilson caused social media upset when he referred to himself as young Future's "daddy" in a birthday message.
