FIRST INTERVIEW
"The Masked Singer" took to Twitter to share the exciting news that the Piglet placed first and revealed Lachey as the man inside the suit. In his first interview as winner outside the piglet suit Lachey said:
"You know even if I hadn't won I would have been very proud of the work that I did here and the performances I gave."
Lachey said that he was only invited to be a contestant on the show a few days before it started, and before he knew it, he was standing on the stage in a piglet suit singing.
FINAL PERFORMANCES
Lachey had some tough competition in the final stages of the show as he matched up against the Black Swan and the Chameleon. The three finalists took to the stage with LeeAnne Rimes to perform "How Do I Live."
JoJo was also not successful in keeping her identity under wraps while undercover in the Black Swan.
The Chameleon sang his last song, "Gangsta Paradise," before being sent home and revealing that it was Wiz Khalifa. Black Swan, who was JoJo, gave a stunning performance of "How Am I Supposed to Live Without You," but ended in second place.
HAPPY FANS
Lachey was not the only one who was overjoyed to be crowned the winner of season 5 as his fans rallied behind him on social media to share their elation over his victory.
Some fans even said they knew it was Lachey from his first performance, while others shared their enthusiasm over his win. One fan tweeted:
"YAYYYY! KNEW IT FROM THE FIRST NOTE HE SANG! WELL DESERVED YAY PIGLET!"
OTHER STARS
Lachey may have lasted to the very end of "The Masked Singer," but other major competitors didn't make it that far, including the group Hanson who exited the show during week 5. They were dressed as three Russian dolls.
"Fast and Furious" actor Tyrese Gibson was also on the stage of this season's competition. He masked up as Robopine and made it all the way to week 8 before receiving the boot.
Plenty of the stars were able to keep their identity under wraps until their time for the reveal came, but some were spotted right away. Wiz Khalifa was identified from the get-go, although he stuck it out right to the finale in his chameleon suit.
JoJo was also not successful in keeping her identity under wraps while undercover in the Black Swan, with most of the internet outing her throughout her time on the show.
