JONES' BROTHER DIED IN 1997

In 1997, only four days before Jones' 17th birthday, his 31-year-old brother John Kennedy was stabbed at the Railway Arms pub in east London.

Naturally, Jones was left devastated, and even now, over two decades later, the singer still carries the pain of Kennedy's death around.

While it was difficult for Jones and his family to deal with Kennedy's death, they struggled more because no one was arrested or convicted for years.

In 2010, Kennedy's case was reviewed and referred to the Homicide and Serious Crime Command to reopen an investigation.

This was followed by an appeal for witnesses to come forward and speak out. Detectives on the case offered a £20,000 reward for anyone who had information that could lead to an arrest or conviction.

Still, no one came forward. Three years later, Jones appeared on Crimewatch, launching a fresh appeal for witnesses to come forward.

In 2014, he admitted that he and other family members were still grieving Kennedy's death, and the only thing that could ease their pain is justice.

JONES AND BUNTON STARTED DATING IN 1998
