Meghan Markle's Daughter Lili's Birth Could Be Vital to Resolving the Royal Rift, Expert Claims

The royal family is delighted about the arrival of another baby as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced the birth of their daughter. The newest addition may be the catalyst for reconciliation in the monarchy.

Royal expert Richard Kay shared that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's newborn may offer an opportunity for the Windsor family to bury the hatchet and mend their strained relationships.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that their little girl would be called Lili, with her full name Lilibet Diana honoring Queen Elizabeth and the late Princess Diana.

HEALING GROUND

According to Kay, the arrival of Lili ushers in a common ground between Prince Harry and Prince William as they are now both fathers of both boys and girls. Hopefully, their shared experience will be a platform for reconciliation.

While there is a shared delight and joy over the newborn, the Windsor family may be able to look past everything that has occurred during the last year and focus on the new life in Lili. Kay said:

"The healing power of baby Lili could be vital to resolving the sadness at the heart of the Royal Family."

BREAKING TRADITION

If the Windsor family were to bridge the gap that has formed between them and the Sussexes, there would be plenty of new traditions that they will have to grow accustomed to.

The reigning royal seems pleased with another great-grandchild as she released a statement.

Prince Harry and Markle ditched the formal introduction of the royal baby in front of the press and rather went with an informal press release after the new mom and baby arrived home. And all of this took place in America.

CONGRATULATIONS IN ORDER

Despite the royal rift that remains ongoing between Princess Diana's two sons, Prince William and Kate Middleton extended their congratulations to the new parents upon the arrival of their niece.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a heartfelt message on their Instagram page along with a sweet snap of Prince Harry, Markle, and Archie. They wrote:

"We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili. Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie."

HONORING THE QUEEN

Although the Sussexes have distanced themselves from the everyday workings of the monarchy, they are still mindful of how they can honor the Windsor family in the way they raise their children.

Lilibet was not amongst the top choices that experts were guessing for the couple's daughter, as it is an intimate nickname that was given to Queen Elizabeth. Yet, it still honors Prince Harry's grandmother while putting a unique twist on it.

The reigning royal seems pleased with another great-grandchild as she released a statement saying she was informed of the birth and that she was delighted with the good news.

Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, were also sure to send a congratulatory message to Prince Harry and Markle. Lili is the Prince of Wales' fifth grandchild.
