Trisha Yearwood Raves over Garth Brooks' Kennedy Center Honor
Trisha Yearwood couldn't stop gushing over her husband Garth Brooks after he was inducted as a Kennedy Center honoree. Debbie Allen, Joan Baez, Midori, and Dick Van Dyke were inducted alongside Brooks this year.
15 years after Trisha Yearwood and Garth Brooks tied the knot, the singer is still bursting with pride to be by Brooks's side. Yearwood took to Instagram to commemorate a special occasion in her husband's career.
She posted a snap of her and Brooks sharing a smooch on the Kennedy Center Honor red carpet after Brooks was inducted. The artist's wife couldn't contain her elation.

COULDN'T BE PROUDER
Yearwood evidently couldn't be more proud of her husband as he was honored for his contributions to the performing arts and for his lifetime of contributions to American culture.
She took to social media to express how grateful she was to be able to experience these special moments alongside Brooks and revealed how proud she was of him. She wrote:
"Words cannot describe how proud I am of you. To watch you receive this honor was such a privilege."
NOT ONLY FROM THE WIFE
Brooks wasn't only recognized by his wife throughout the weekend as artists such as Kelly Clarkson, Jimmie Allen, and Gladys Knight pulled together to play musical tributes to him.
Yearwood has referred to the three girls as a gift she didn't know she needed as they made space for her in their lives.
James Taylor brought Brooks to tears as he took to the stage to perform a cover of Brooks' single "The River." It was an emotional moment as Brooks paid tribute to Taylor when he was inducted to the Kennedy Center Honor in 2016.
A LONG ROAD
Brooks and Yearwood have shared a long yet special journey during their 15 years of marriage. Yearwood recently reflected on their proposal, saying it remains a significant time in their lives. Yearwood shared:
“Well, that was the night that Garth proposed to me and I’m freaking out on stage in front of 7,000 people. But I did say yes."
The singer didn't see the big question coming because she knew Brooks to enjoy his privacy in such special moments, but the surprise made the proposal all the more spectacular.
ANOTHER MOM
Yearwood and Brooks were both previously married before their paths crossed in a romantic fashion. Brooks has three daughters from his fifteen-year-long marriage to Sandy Mahl.
The "Trisha’s Kitchen: Easy Comfort Food for Friends and Family" author revealed she initially didn't know much about children or being a stepmom, but now she wouldn't trade her relationship with the children for anything.
Brooks guided his new wife through the transition of becoming stepmother to three children. He advised her not to try to be a mother or a best friend but rather figure it out with each of them.
Yearwood has referred to the three girls as a gift she didn't know she needed as they made space for her in their lives as their extra mom and third parent.
