'Millennial Bonnie and Clyde' Wanted for Murder Arrested in Europe after a Long Global Search
A Canadian couple dubbed the millennial "Bonnie and Clyde" have been apprehended after months of being on the run. The pair were connected to a crime in Hamilton.
The Hamilton Police has announced the arrest of a young Canadian couple who have been fugitives since February, following a crime they allegedly committed in the neighborhood.
On February 28, 2021, the Hamilton police responded to an emergency call in Stoney Creek where a young man, Tyler Pratt, was gunned down alongside his pregnant partner.
While Pratt did not survive the ordeal, the pregnant lady sustained severe gun wounds but was in a stable condition at the hospital. She was later released to continue recuperating.
Two people, Oliver Karafa and his lover, Yun "Lucy" Lu Li, were said to be wanted in connection to the crime. However, they escaped within 24-hours of being declared wanted and moved to Hungary.

The Canadian authorities contacted the authorities in Hungary, and the couple was placed on the wanted list. The search was on for three months.
Now that authorities have blown the duo's cover, the Hamilton police commended the Hungarian Fugitive Active Search Team, as well as local authorities, in helping with the search for the lovers.
Pratt's mom Jonni Yeomans noted that her son was an exceptional father of three.

It is said that Karafa and Li know the victims of the crime, but the motives behind the issue are yet to be unearthed. The young couple, while on the run, visited Karafa's place in Slovakia.
Karafa, a 28-year-old, was convicted in 2014 in Slovakia for a DUI misconduct that led to the death of a 24-year-old. He served five years behind bars at the time. Presently, he and his lover have been charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder.
On the other hand, Li is a famous media influencer and the daughter of a prominent businesswoman, Winnie Liao. Li and her sister, one of whom is a beauty queen, are conversant with social media fame.
Her family has since shared their deep shock and are puzzled about how Li got involved in a heinous crime. Li's mom owns a financial-management business, and she has been spotted with dignitaries.
Li and her sisters are triplets, and the trio was known for helping with the launching of a group called Canadian Youth Funding Association, one of their mom's charity gala beneficiaries.
The family of the deceased has also weighed in on the situation. Pratt's mom Jonni Yeomans noted that her son was an exceptional father of three. She also added that his girlfriend, who was shot, lost the baby.
