People: Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Are 'Ecstatic' about Getting Married Soon
Gwen Stefani and her fiancé Blake Shelton are said to be excited about their upcoming wedding. The couple is set to have a summer wedding with close people as guests.
In 2015, Blake Shelton, 44, and Gwen Stefani, 51, connected while working as coaches on “The Voice.” They quickly became friends as they dealt with the individual high-profile divorces.
In 2016, Shelton confessed to The Tennessean that his relationship with Stefani "literally saved my life." He revealed that they initially struggled with trust issues but eventually turned them into inspiration.

The problems they battled with were transformed into their first duet, "Go Ahead and Break My Heart." After almost five years since they wrote the song and in the mix of their relationship, Shelton proposed.
Like a gentleman, he spoke to the “Hollaback” singer’s father and asked for her hand in marriage. Then, in October 2020, he made it official when he proposed to her during a trip to his Oklahoma ranch.
Now the engaged pair are said to be looking forward to their summer wedding. A People magazine source alleged that the couple was also quite excited to have guests at their wedding, with the insider adding:
"Ever since they got engaged, they have both been adamant that no wedding will happen until it's safe for family and friends to attend.”
The pop singer knew from the very beginning that she wanted a summer wedding. According to the source, earlier this year, Stefani was upset when she felt the pandemic was not ending, noting:
"They are both ecstatic that it can finally happen. They are getting married this summer.”
Last Thursday, the bride-to-be was “kidnapped” for her surprise bridal shower. She uploaded a selfie video on her Instagram Story to reveal that her family arranged the special event.

On Tuesday, the No Doubt frontwoman was seen on a solo outing in Los Angeles. Her diamond engagement ring was quite visible during the outing that sparked rumors that she might’ve gotten married in secret.
