He, however, would later land in hospital due to complications with his organ systems. She says he was brought to the hospital in a wheelchair following the stroke. He had been making so much progress and was even walking again with assistance.

The beauty and fashion expert says she has been overwhelmed by people's support during this hard time in her life. She also encourages people suffering from loss not to be afraid of grief. She said on TODAY:

"Experiencing so much pain has felt really isolating, and other people going through that who have reached out, it's as if my heart just is connected immediately."

Thomas first talked about her husband's passing in May 2019 in light of National Stroke Awareness Month. At the time, she had shared updates on his recovery that included a beautiful video of the first time Marion was able to lift their son.

She continued to open up about her special bond with her husband, saying they had been together for 12 years and married for six. They share a son. Keeping her husband's memory alive for their 5-year-old son, Miles, has also helped., Miles, who is 5 years old.

She continues to remember him fondly saying that she made him feel supported, beautiful, and loved.

Half a year down the line, Thomas has learned the difference between moving on and how to carry something, which she says is new vocabulary to her.

She continues to honor her husband's memory. This Father's Day, she and her son Miles made beautiful sentiments to her husband by releasing balloons as a special delivery in heaven for him. She posted:

"Special delivery from the sweetest little boy with the biggest heart… Miles wanted to make sure his Father's Day wishes made it to Daddy in heaven!"

The comment section was filled with her fan's sentiments, showing love emojis and remembering her husband with her. Some of those that commented were Jenna Bush, Hager, and Hoda Kotb.

Thomas says she will always be grateful for the time that he spent with him and wished people realized how much he was worth it and why she would do life with him over and over again if given a choice.

Thomas continues to remember him fondly, saying that she made him feel supported, beautiful, and loved. She, however, still does not feel as if the whole situation is real.

She is thankful to friends and family that have been with her during her grief and is thankful that even with people having to deal with so much loss, she is lucky that she's been able to resume her responsibilities.
