HER HUSBAND

For over two decades now, Carlson has enjoyed a loving marriage with her husband, former baseball player Casey Close whom she tied the knot with in 1997.

During his days playing baseball, Close played for teams like the New York Yankees, Calgary Cannons, Albany-Colonie Yankees, and the Columbus Clippers.

However, after retiring, Close remained actively involved in baseball, serving as a sports agent for mostly Major League players.

He has represented several players, including Ryan Howard, Michael Cuddyer, Kenny Lofton, and Masahiro Tanaka. Today, he is considered one of the most powerful agents in the sports industry.

THE SCANDAL

Carlson was the subject of many headlines in 2016 after coming out to claim she was fired from Fox News after turning down Roger Ailes' sexual advances.

The news anchor recalled her son saying he wants to be a part of the fight against sexual harassment.

The news anchor filed a sexual harassment lawsuit, stating that Ailes suggested they start a sexual relationship, adding that it would be mutually beneficial.

Ailes' lawyers, however, denied the claims, noting that the lawsuit was simply retaliation for Fox's decision not to renew Carlson's contract.

Fox also maintained that the network provided Carlson with several on-air opportunities during her time with them. They called the lawsuit "offensive and without merit."

THEIR KIDS

In addition to being partners, Carlson and Close are also proud parents of two children, son Christian and daughter Kaia.

And though Carlson and Close both have successful careers, the pair could not be prouder of their two kids and how far they have come.

In May, the news anchor took to Instagram to celebrate their daughter's high school graduation, describing her as a strong and intelligent woman.

But this comes as no surprise, seeing that Kaia is largely inspired by her mother. According to Carlson, her kids became more courageous following the sexual harassment case.

The news anchor recalled her son saying he wants to be a part of the fight against sexual harassment while her daughter admitted to standing up to school bullies.

No doubt, Close and Carlson have set themselves to be great role models for their kids. Kaia and Christian really couldn't be luckier!
