A little boy was devastated by what his cousin did to his old sneakers. On his birthday, he witnessed his favorite pair of shoes being destroyed. The youngster was confused and slammed the door in his cousin's face after his actions.

After wearing his trusty white sneakers for two years, this youngster's footwear was worn and torn. Despite this, he was still happy to have the shoes. This changed when his cousin intervened.

In a TikTok video, the young boy's cousin can be seen setting the shoes alight. He showed the boy what was happening, and his response was expectedly emotional.

NO SHOES TO WEAR

In the midst of his anger and tears, the boy refused to talk to his cousin. He slammed the door in his face and sat around moping. His reaction was justified because he had no other shoes to wear.

He walked around the house barefoot and threw his burnt shoes outside. He was confused by what his family member had done. When his cousin entered the house carrying a brown box, the little boy became curious.

MOVED TO TEARS

The man was excited to give his cousin the gift. As he approached him, the little boy was sitting with his head down on the sofa. It was not the ideal way to spend his birthday.

The youngster was thankful and quickly leaned in to give his kind-hearted cousin a big hug. However, some viewers believed this TikToker took things out of proportion.

NO REASON TO BURN THE SHOES

Many netizens were upset by the actions taken by the boy's cousin. Commentators pointed out that it was not necessary to burn the old sneakers. They were still intact and could be worn around the house or donated to someone less fortunate.

Regardless, the young boy was still granted a special gift that demonstrated the beauty of love, kindness, and generosity. Now, this new pair of shoes could keep him going for another two years!
