On July 14, 2021, famous singer, songwriter, and record producer Kenny "Babyface" Edmonds and his wife Nicole Pantenburg revealed that they would be going their separate ways after being married for seven years.

In a joint statement released by People yesterday, the newly separated couple explained that despite their decision to call it quits, they would continue to care and respect one another.

The Grammy award-winning singer and his now ex-wife are co-parents to a 12-year-old daughter—Peyton Nicole, who they welcomed in September 2008. Although there was hardly any information about why they split, they stated that they would share an eternal love for their daughter.

Finally, Babyface and Pantenburg asked for privacy for themselves and their daughter as they try to navigate their new lives. Although the duo officially made their decision known yesterday, there is no news on when the estranged couple plan to make it legal.

Babyface and the former "Moesha" star started their relationship in 2007 when the latter was a backup dancer for the former. After seven years of dating, the R&B singer announced their engagement during a BET interview when Toni Braxton asked if he would ever get married again.

In May 2014, they walked down the aisle in South Carolina, USA. The star-studded wedding ceremony was done in the midst of celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Carole B Sager. The latter took to her Instagram page to share photos of the memorable occasion.

While making an incredible impact in the world at large with his music, the star also lives to make his kids happy.

The snapshots posted by the singer and songwriter featured Pantenburg clad in a strapless Tulle gown while rocking golden brown locks. On the other hand, Babyface complemented the actress' appearance by wearing an ivory tuxedo, and it was lovely.

During an interview with NPR in 2015, Babyface tagged the 48-year-old as "one of the loves of his life." Even though the pair's marital relationship came to an end, they appear to be at peace with one another.

Pantenburg was Babyface's second wife as he was previously married to businesswoman Tracey Edmonds for thirteen years. In 2005, the singer and his ex-wife announced that they were getting a divorce after Tracey officially filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

During the BET interview, Babyface shared his thoughts about marriage, revealing that the significant thing about it was being honest with yourself and your feelings.

According to the icon, when you are not honest with yourself, you accept situations the way they are and do not talk about them. Babyface and Tracey still share a great relationship and are parents to two children— Brandon and Dylan.

The father of three shares a great bond with his kids and flaunts them on social media. In February, the 62-year-old took to Instagram to post a picture of him and his kids having a moment together.

The icon's sons shared a striking resemblance as they donned white and black sweatshirts, respectively, which they paired with pants and topped off with lovely face caps. Likewise, Peyton looked like a little diva while wearing a purple hoodie and matching pants.

The 12-year-old finished her attire with pink sneakers and stood beside her dad, who appeared like the perfect father. The post was accompanied with a caption that read:

"Took my kids to the beginning of the journey, which ironically was a song called "End of the Road" written in the house behind us."

While making an incredible impact in the world at large with his music, the star also lives to make his kids happy. With a star dad like Babyface, Brandon, Dylan, and Peyton have nothing to worry about.
