Biz Markie Dies at 57 Leaving behind Wife and Daughter Whom He Kept Out of the Spotlight - Meet Them
American rapper and "Just A Friend" crooner Biz Markie died at 57 on Friday, July 16, 2021, leaving behind his rarely seen wife, kids, and family members.
Death is an occurrence that leaves family members, friends, and loved ones of the deceased heartbroken and mourning for long periods.
Family members of rapper and "Clown Prince of Hip Hop," Biz Markie, is in a similar state at the moment following his death on Friday, July 16, 2021.

Markie, who was famous for his hit tune "Just a Friend," died at 57 following a series of complications from diabetes, which he has had for a decade and struggled with recently.
A family source narrated how Markie left the world in a chat with TMZ and revealed the rapper was holding his wife Tara Hall's hand before taking his last breath. A rep for the late musician also said:
"We are grateful for the many calls and prayers of support that we have received during this difficult time. Biz created a legacy of artistry that will forever be celebrated…"
The rep added that Markie left behind a wife, many family members, and close friends who will miss his constant jokes, frequent banter, and vibrant personality.
The Hip Hop community was crushed following the news of Markie's demise. However, no other person was as crushed as his wife, Hall, who was always with him amid his health struggles.
Throughout his career, he released five albums and appeared in "Men In Black II" and many other television drama and comedy series.
Markie always kept his wife and their daughter away from the spotlight, but there were rare occasions where he shared pictures of her on his Instagram page.
One such occasion was on April 25, 2019, when he shared an adorable picture of them clad in black outfits and posing side by side with their heads touching. In the post's caption, the loving husband urged his fans to wish his wife a happy birthday.
Following her husband's death right before her eyes, Hall made a post on her Instagram page on Saturday. Accompanying the post was a picture of the couple in matching Adidas tracksuits and sneakers. In the post's caption, she described the nature of his demise. She wrote:
"A GOOD heart stopped beating this evening… and I was there for the last one….Biz Fought till the end, like the true legend he is."
The heartbroken Hall further wrote that Markie passed his strength to her during his transition while she held his hand because he knew she would need it to carry on the rest of her life without him.
Hall will not be alone as she continues her life's journey without her husband. She will go on with her and her late husband's daughter, who he was very fond of.
Hall shared a video and multiple pictures of Markie being a great dad to his daughter on Father's Day. The video showed the proud dad with his niece, while one of the pictures showed him embracing his daughter and niece.
Other snapshots showed him spending quality time with his daughter. In the post's caption, Hall wrote that one could only imagine the kind of dad Markie was and added that he was all about having fun with kids.
She wished him a happy Father's Day and urged all the fathers to continue making memories. She further wrote that the memories Markie shared with his family mean so much to them.
Markie hit the limelight in 1989 after releasing his song "Just a Friend." He created his own musical style that hinged mainly on silly humor, winning him multiple fans.
Throughout his career, he released five albums and appeared in "Men In Black II" and many other television drama and comedy series.
Many artists, including LL Cool J and Beastie Boys' Mike D, have paid tribute to Markie. Mike described Markie as a unique musician and entertainer in every sense of the word, while LL Cool J broke down as he came to terms with Markie's demise.
