Neighbor Threatens to Report Woman Sunbathing In Communal Garden for Antisocial Behavior
A woman sought help from the Reddit community after her new neighbor started sunbathing in the apartment building's communal garden. The post was met with diverse reactions.
A woman sought the help of the Reddit community after she acted upon her neighbor's actions. The woman, who lives in an apartment building, disapproved of her fellow resident sunbathing in the garden for everyone to see.
In her post, the woman detailed the building she lived in as a residence with well-maintained areas, specifically their "desirable" and "purely ornamental" communal garden.

Although it was for everyone's enjoyment, the communal garden was never used for personal excursions. Most residents use their balconies for outdoor activities, although some units do not have them.
One day, during the heatwave in their location, the woman was surprised to see a girl sunbathing by the garden's grass. The Reddit user narrated what the woman was doing:
"She brings a blanket and a book and is out there for hours, reading in a bikini top and shorts."

That day, the complainant approached the sunbathing woman and asked if she was a resident in the building. As it turned out, she had just moved into the building.
Another Reddit user agreed and said that if the sunbathing woman isn't breaking any rules, it wasn't anyone's business to mind.
At around 4 pm, the woman entered the building with her keys, making the Reddit user believe that she was indeed a resident. However, it was still disturbing that the woman was out in the open, sunbathing from 10 am to 4 pm.

When the complainant saw her neighbor again, she approached her and said that the garden was not for sunbathing. However, the woman replied that she was a resident using a communal garden legally.
The sunbathing woman added that the garden was one of the reasons she liked the residence and even made sure that the grounds were to be shared by everyone.
Intimidated, the complainant snapped a photo of the woman sunbathing in the garden and sent it to the homeowner's group chat on WhatsApp. She asked her other neighbors to join her in calling out such "antisocial behavior."

The Reddit user added that she plans to report the woman to the landlord should her sunbathing activities continue as there are several parks nearby, anyway.
The post was met with diverse reactions, with some agreeing with the woman regarding her neighbor's behavior. However, many also defended the sunbathing woman in the comments section. One person said:
"Is an 'ornamental garden' - all gardens are ornamental! It's a garden, and it's communal she can use it as she likes."

Another Reddit user agreed and said that if the sunbathing woman wasn't breaking any rules, it was not anyone else's business to mind. Besides, she has just as much of a right as any other resident.
Recently, another Reddit post went viral after a homeowner captured CCTV footage of a stranger petting his dog while slowly stealing the canine's white shirt. The post also attracted a debate in the comments section, wondering what the real story behind the clip was.
