Bear Brown Discloses How Selflessly His Late Father Loved His Mom with an Emotional Tribute
Ami Brown lost her true love when “Alaskan Bush People” star Billy Brown passed away. The couple was married for forty years and were only separated by Billy’s death, just as most wedding vows promise.
“Alaskan Bush People” viewers may have speculated many things about the show, but the love between Billy and Ami was undeniable. The couple shared a great bond that extended to their relationships with their children.
It was clear to see that the middle-aged couple was still very close after decades together. Their bond was so strong that their son Bear Brown had to acknowledge it in a recent post paying tribute to his late father.
Bear Brown recently posted an image of his mother smiling as she sits on top of her late husband’s lap. Billy Brown can be seen posing with a thumbs up in the picture as he smiles while cradling his wife.
The image’s caption reveals that it was taken when his mother was still battling her lung cancer. It also explains that the “Alaskan Bush People” patriarch was always by his wife’s side, especially when she was sick.
It is no surprise that Billy was unable to leave his wife’s side amid her cancer battle. Doctors had communicated a 3% survival rate for the mother of seven at the time of her diagnosis, so all time with her was precious.
Thankfully, Ami was clear of cancer that had spread all over her lungs and back after months of treatment. Billy, who had relocated his family so his wife could get treatment, was pleasantly surprised by the recovery.
Bear’s recent Instagram tribute was not the first time the TV personality praised his parents’ loving relationship. The father of one’s mother’s day post was an equally sweet tribute that celebrated his mom’s strength.
Bear’s post applauded his mother for staying strong and trying to console her children, despite losing the love of her life. He also commended her for being the best mother possible even though she had a difficult year.
It is unfortunate that just as the family dodged one life-threatening illness, another would appear suddenly. Billy’s death was caused by a seizure, which unexpectedly happened while he was at home.
Bear announced his father’s passing with a post on Instagram that expressed what he and his family were going through. Like his most recent posts, he added a picture of his parents together and wrote his feelings in the caption:
“He was our best friend — a wonderful and loving dad, granddad, and husband, and he will be dearly missed.”
Ami, who is no stranger to expressing herself during challenging times, is yet to comment publicly on Billy’s death. However, she did ask Bear to acknowledge the condolences she received from fans on his social media.
In addition to thanking all of her fans for their prayers, Ami asked Billy to share one special message with them. The message touched on the importance of communicating with loved ones and encouraged fans to do so:
“Be sure to tell the people closest to you how much you love them!”
Although Billy’s death seemed to come from out of the blue, it has been reported that his health was declining for months. The TV personality even suffered a respiratory emergency that had many fans concerned about his health.
Unfortunately, it was finally time for Billy to go, despite all of the obstacles he had overcome to be where he was at the time. However, things are not that sad since the TV star has left behind a great legacy.
Billy lived life on his own terms, which is something that is so admirable that his family managed to get their own show. Now, the Brown family will continue on his legacy by staying true to Billy’s life-loving ways.
